Archaeological museum in Zagreb will commemorate the 175th anniversary of the birth of August Šenoa with an appropriate exhibition. It is less-well known that this celebrated Croatian author was also a numismatist. Over the years he collected an important collection of Greek, Roman, mediaeval and modern coins, and part of this collection was purchased by the Archaeological museum in Zagreb in 1898. On this occasion the most attractive part of the collection is presented, in collaboration with the heirs of the Šenoa family, who were so kind to borrow some material for the exhibition.
