With a great uncle, friend and patron of Eugène Atget, Patrice Calmettes has always been captivated by photography. He was not yet 20 when he got his first job as a photographer offered by Diana Vreeland for Vogue US.

He worked there for many years before joining Andy Warhol for a collaboration for Interview.

Another part of his work has a photograph is more timelessness focusing on portraits, architecture, landscapes...

Patrice is an artist who work with a natural graphic sense, natural light and his work possesses a great elegance. His photographs have the power of images that stores at first glance.
