This exhibition is dedicated of work of British artist Bridget Riley in connexion with a painting by Georges Seurat which belongs to the Courtauld gallery.

The painting "Bridge at Courbevoie" is one of the highlight of the Courtauld Gallery. Painted in 1886, more than a century later, Bridget Riley did a copy of the painting. The copy was of Riley a new experience in her work about color and perception.

Thanks to Seurat's technic of painting she enhances the realm of abstraction to produce the first major abstract painting based on geometric patterns that made her famous in the art world.

The gallery presents a special display which will bring Seurat’s Bridge at Courbevoie with a selection of seven early works by Riley.
