Filmaker and photograph Daoud Aoudad-Syad transcends in his films the boundaries of fiction and documentary, to be as close to reality, without giving up poetry and dream.
He does the same with his photographs, in which he demonstrates, with graphical strength, his attachment to popular culture, fairground arts, collective memory.
The selected photographs show incessant reciprocities between fiction and reality, between dream and travel, stillness and movement, addressing the critical issues of the Moroccan society and its mutations.
The iconic images of the photographer are associated with many unpublished photographs work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank and Richard Avedon, which are like Daoud Aoulad-Siad images of great poetry.
