Massimo Berretti lives and works in Rome. In 2003, after some photography classes, he gave up biology to deepen photography.

Massimo began working as a photographer in Italy and Eastern Europe where he documents the Immigration and industrial crisis.

In 2014, he won the Grand Prix AFD / Polka best photo essay project for "Drops. Water crisis in Gaza and the West Bank. "

Water, the most vital resource is becoming increasingly scarce in the Middle East. Despite the assistance provided by the international community to solve the sanitation and water scarcity problems, improvements remain inadequate and much of the population remains deprived of drinking water.

Today, the issue of water is becoming increasingly worrying, and could become in the near future, one of the main factors of international conflicts.
