The Young Dürer examines the figure drawings of the young artist and in particular his Wanderjahre, or 'journeyman years', during which he travelled widely and was exposed to a range of new experiences.

Dürer would go on to redirect the course of German art and his drawings, in particular, demonstrate the significance of these early influences in shaping his ambitious artistic personality.

Bringing together outstanding drawings by Dürer from international collections as well as rare works by precursors and contemporaries, this exhibition is not to be missed.
