The Icelandic Phallological Museum is probably the only museum in the world to contain a collection of phallic specimens belonging to all the various types of mammal found in a single country.

The Icelandic Phallological Museum displays a collection of more than 215 penises and penile parts belonging to almost all the land and sea mammals that can be found in Iceland.

Visitors to the museum will encounter 56 specimens belonging to 17 different kinds of whale, 1 specimen taken from a rogue polar bear, 36 specimens belonging to 7 different kinds of seal and walrus, and 115 specimens originating from 20 different kinds of land mammal: all in all, a total of 209 specimens belonging to 46 different kinds of mammal, including specimens from Homo Sapiens !

In addition to the biological section of the museum, visitors can view the collection of about 300 artistic oddments and other practical utensils related to the museum´s chosen theme.
