The Ethnographic Museum, located in a nice Art Nouveau building was founded in 1919 by Salamon Berger an industrial who started to assembled a collection of folk costumes and textiles.

With 80 000 items, the museum is one of the first and largest of its kind. The collection display Croatian Folk Costumes and items of popular art and handicrafts, such as ceramics, jewellery, musical instruments, tools, weapons and folk costumes as well as basic sectors of the economy and national handicrafts.
