The museum is the private collection assembled by a family loving eyeglasses and which collect them through four generations.

The collection was presented by Mijke Theunissen’s Brilmuseum more than 35 years ago even the collection has started long back to the 19th century.

This National Museum of eyeglasses is connected to an old optician shop. Displayed on two floors are interesting objects covering over 700 hundread years of eyeglasses history.
