You can't leave Paris without visiting this museum if you have any interest in Architecture. Opened in 2007, this huge museum has 8,000 m² of permanent collections dedicated to French architecture through the centuries and regions.
Displayed on three galeries are architecture and heritage pieces from the Middle Ages to the present day. The museum also possesses a gallery of casts with civil and religious example of architecture from the XIIth to the XVIIIth century. The gallery of modern and contemporary architecture points the developments and technologies of the Indutrial Revolution and the last gallery is displaying copies of wall paintings from the XIth to the XVIth century.
With examples of the best reproductions or original pieces of abbeys, cathedrals and private mansions build in France, you'll discover the richness of those sculpted or painted decoration, and the complexity of those structures. With Modern Time, public and residential buildings reflect nowadays the changes in society and lifestyles.
