Few places hold such a special meaning for the Kennedy family as does Berlin and "Ich bin ein Berliner", the famous quote is probably the best way to explain why there is a Museum dedicated to the most glamorous American presidential couple of all times. »
We’ll never have another day like this one as long as we live, « was how John F. Kennedy described the enthusiastic reception that hundreds of thousands of people gave him on June 26, 1963 in West Berlin.
At the beginning, In 2004, the collection was exhibited by the Camera Work gallery at 149 Kantstrasse. The following year the exhibition was shown in Rome, in the Temple of Hadrian in the ancient centre of Rome.
Because it was followed with much interest by the media and the public the exhibitions changed and soon became a full project, a museum. Today, The Kennedys is a private museum and displays documents from the lives of the Kennedy family.
The Kennedys has one of the world's most comprehensive collection of photographs, official documents, private papers and holding pieces of the Kennedy family. Approximately 300 photographs and objects are on display, many of which were formerly owned by the Kennedy family.
